Tasmanian Oak
Satin Finish
South Frankston, VIC
South Frankston, VIC
This Tasmanian Oak floor is typical of what can be found in some of the older homes around Frankston South. The boards have always had carpet on them for the past 60 odd years and are therefore in excellent condition with only a few small issues to contend with.
The main issue was that over the years these floorboards must have creaked horribly and someone in their attempt to fix it has actually belted the living daylights out of them as they drove rather long-arsed nails into the boards.
With unbridled hammering enthusiasm they've managed to put some amazing looking dents in the floor right there in the lounge room, visible to anyone who walks in the front door.
With some coarse sandpaper, kerosene and our sander Big Bertha, we managed to pull out those offending dents and turn it into something pretty special.
This was an amazing transformation

We did really well here.
Well, there we have it, a very impressive transformation.
The hammer dents are all gone and the floor has been sanded and finished superbly.
Could we ever want for more?
