Tasmanian Oak
Matte Finish

This particular Tasmanian Oak floor is a perfect example of how different this particular timber species can look from house to house. No two boards are the same, and indeed no two floors are the same.
This particular home had been the place of much dog breeding - inside - the house, and of course the boards throughout are stained from the various accidents that only dozens of puppies can have.
Still, despite it's colourful history this Tasmanian Oak floor has sanded up a treat. Once the superfine sanding was completed the boards were coated with Handley Matt Polyurethane
This finishing combination leaves the floor with an easy care surface that will stand the test of time in this busy rental property
The depth of colour here is astonishing

The carpet is up revealing a completely unsanded floor
Lots of tacks, staples and underlay glue
The first coat shows us an almost brand new floor
Even the wee puddle in the hall looks good
The coating just starting to settle down after being applied
This entire floor has been stained from puppy urine
Rich, dark colours throughout the hallway
The living zone shows a beautiful bit of floor sanding
Our matte finish has settled down beautifully

A gorgeous golden tone in these Tassy Oak boards
After years under carpet it's bounced back to be a spectacular floor
