Old Baltic Pine can be the most amazing stuff to work with...but, not everyone is crazy about the honey colour that it generally becomes when freshly sanded and polished. This young couple in Croydon were no exception.

What they were hoping for was a hard wearing surface that somehow looked pretty much the same as raw-unfinished Baltic Pine looks just after it's been sanded. Lime washing was the answer.

After doing some samples, we got the go ahead to White Wash the entire floor. 

We make our own custom white stain as I find many of the off-the-shelf products are nowhere near as intense as what most of our customers have in mind...and, I'd rather get it right the first time, instead of having to stain it twice.
