Tasmanian Oak Floor

Handley Lo-Sheen Protection

Langwarrin, VIC

This is a direct stick Tasmanian Oak floor, where, as such, the boards have been glued directly to the concrete slab during the building of the house.

This sort of flooring gives you a terrific, solid feel under foot, without any noise when little feet are running here 'n' there, that's always a good thing.

Sadly, with this particular home termites had found their way into several sections of the floor and decided to make a restaurant out of it. Good for them, but, not so much for our home owner.

Our task was to pull out the damaged sections, clean up the slab, replace the boards with matching timber and give the whole floor a superfine sand and refinish.

As you'll see in the pics the floor has bounced make magnificently.  l loved doing this job it was a super transformation...and as a bonus was only three minutes from my front door.

Getting the repair work underway
The termites had eaten a fair section in front of the windows
