Southern Beech floor frankston, VIC

Handley Matt Protection

This is one of those floors that I wasn't able to identify until I was getting into the superfine sanding, as from the get-go it looked and felt like Blackbutt.

Then a couple of boards seemed out of place in a Blackbutt floor, which triggered a memory from another job which was Southern Beech, featuring the exact same types of boards

This was a pretty rugged floor to start with, as it had copped a lot of water and hot sun over it's past fifteen years. Still, once it was all cleaned up and flat it turned out to be one of the most stunning floors I'd seen in some time

Checking out the following pics will give you an idea of just massively a floor like this can turn around in a few short days of hard work

A highlight of this Southern Beech floor is this yellow board

Floor boards like this are what sets Southern Beech apart from other similar timbers

This floor was one of my very favourite transformations.

The Southern Beech exceeded all expectations
