The Melbourne Floor Sanding Scene

Floor Sanders throughout Australia are blessed to be able to work with some of the most amazing timbers in the world. The indigenous Australian trees produce Tasmanian Oak, Victorian Ash, Ironbark, Spotted Gum and Jarrah just to name a few across the colour spectrum. 

To compliment the various hardwood species we also have an assortment of Pine flooring from Baltic Pine, Radiata Pine and Cypress Pine. 

Making it even more interesting and diverse is the fact that pretty much all of these timbers take to being stained brilliantly, enabling us to change the colour to suit our tastes, without losing the beauty of the natural grain.

Over the years, the floor sanding industry has seen some massive improvements in sanding methods, abrasive papers, new machinery and finishing products. Which has made it an exciting time to be a part of the floor finishing trade.
