Of all the Australian exotic hardwoods Spotted Gum is clearly the most popular species currently being utilized. And for damn good reason too. Have a look at it, it's brilliant.  From a tradesman's perspective, I find it to be one of the finest timbers to sand & finish it simply responds so well to the sanding process. Even more impressive, is the depth it develops when properly coated with two pac polyurethane.

Because Spotted Gum goes so well with pretty much any sort of decor it's often used in new homes and new extensions to great effect. A lot of the Spotted Gum floors we sand are big expanses of flooring space so it stands to reason that the sanding has to be spot on. To the point, that in most homes the Spotted Gum floor is the single largest feature in the home - so you can only imagine how important it is not to make a mess of it.
