Baltic Pine - Frankston
This is quite typical of the many Baltic Pine floors we sand and finish, the carpet comes up only to reveal where a wall was removed and the floor patched (badly). Along with that, are several trap-doors throughout the house giving access to under the floor for the various trades over the years. Then when you dial in the gan-zillion tacks and staples from different types of under-lay you have yourself a fairly full on weeks work.
First task is removing the shabby bits, re-building the joists where necessary before fitting in the second-hand boards to match, as best we can.
Once the repair work is out of the way we can now get into the fine sanding of the boards ready for the finish.
Very full on work, but the results really speak for themselves once finished.
